Parents' Association

Our meetings are held throughout the school year on the first Wednesday of each month.  Meetings begin at 8:30 p.m. and are finished by 10:00 p.m.  All parents / guardians are invited to come along.  These meetings are a great opportunity to meet with other parents / guardians and share each others views and concerns.  During the coming year we will be inviting Guest Speakers to attend.

Welcome to the Parents Association section of the Pobalscoil Inbhear Sceine website. All parents of students attending the school are automatically members of the Parents Association.

The objectives of the Association are:

  • The advancement of the moral, mental, social and cultural well being of the
    students of the Community School and of the Community generally.
  • The fostering of good relations between the parents, teachers, students and
    the school authorities.
  • The election of parents' nominees to the Board of Management.

The AGM of the association is held in October of each year. A committee is elected to manage the affairs of the association during the year. Monthly meetings are held with alternate meetings being open to all parents.

The association is affiliated to the National Parents Associations of Community & Comprehensive Schools (PACCS) www.paccs.ie
