Pobalscoil Inbhear Sceine offers a wide range of extra curricular activity.

Spraoi Scéine

Last year was the first year that Pobalscoil Inbhear Scéine staged a Christmas concert and titled it Spraoi Scéine. “A Roaring Success” one student claimed as the school population was treated to an amazing twenty acts. These ranged from solo and group singing, to dancing (with a difference), to comedy sketches (devised by the students themselves which included an imitation of some of the teaching staff).

The competition was split into Junior and Senior level with prizes for each category and an overall prize going to the best performance. This was won by a student who brought the house down with his solo electric guitar playing. Already there are calls for Spraoi Scéine to become an annual event. Students however requested that the teachers perform a different act this year, their medley of Christmas carols was a surprise entry last year and received a standing ovation from the student body at its conclusion.
